WHAT DOES A  LAWYER COST?

Representing claimants before Social Security is a specialty.  However, most people applying for disability benefits cannot pay a lawyer an hourly wage.  Most claimant's lawyers take a fee of twenty-five percent (25%) of the past due benefits due to claimant.  Of course, there is no fee if no benefits are awarded. A claimant's ongoing monthly payments are not affected by this fee.

If you have applied for SSI, paying your attorney from your lump sum check is your responsibility.

 WORKERS COMPENSATION

If you are on workers compensation, you can still qualify for Social Security      disability benefits.  There is an off-set of Social Security benefits.  Depending on your income at the time of your accident/injury, you may receive up to a 100% benefit.  More importantly, you will   receive Medicare and may be eligible for up to a nine-month trial work period while still receiving benefits.

 ONE LAST WORD

Applying for and receiving Social Security disability is a very long and involved  process.  It can get very discouraging at times.  However, with a lawyer on your side, the discouragement can be overcome with a favorable decision.

"Employing an attorney

to represent you with your

disability claim increases

your odds of a favorable

decision dramatically"
